GRDN is a bespoke landscape design studio based in Newcastle NSW Australia. We believe that the exterior of a home should be as engaging, connected and welcoming as the interior. An exterior garden space is a living, breathing and evolving area of the home and good design can express your personality and your creativity.

Our projects are driven by human interaction with the landscape along with all aspects of hardscape, horticulture and design knowledge accumulated from almost 20 years industry experience.

Design Consultation

Our initial consultation allows us to get to know you and gain a clear understanding of your lifestyle and how you want to use your outdoor space. We visit your site to assess the location and discuss your initial ideas, preferences, and requirements, including what you like, dislike, and need from the space. During the meeting, we offer professional advice, assist with material selection, and explore preliminary design ideas.

Following the consultation, we prepare a design fee proposal based on the agreed scope of works. You may then choose to develop the space independently or engage us to create a bespoke Exterior Concept that brings all ideas together into a cohesive design.

Concept Design

Using the information gathered during your onsite consultation, we will develop a tailored design concept for your space. This concept includes a scaled plan, material and furnishing selections, lighting considerations, and planting suggestions, supported by highly detailed and realistic 3D renders. This level of detail allows you to clearly visualise the design and understand how your ideas will come to life.

Once complete, the concept is presented with 3D perspective imagery and a scaled plan in both an A3 bound document and a PDF file. You may then choose to implement the concept independently or engage one of our recommended, trusted construction contractors to progress to the next phase.
